School Gyrls to Rock the Stage at IPSF iJam
Thursday, May 13th, 2010The School Gyrls will be performing at the Irvine Public School Foundations’ iJam for Teachers Family Festival 2010.
The event takes place on May 23, 2010 in Irvine, CA.
This is the biggest charity concert event in Irvine school history and is taking place to pay tribute to the amazing teachers and staff — a way to thank them.
It’s also a way to raise money to help Irvine schools. Join them at Irvine High School from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.

Simon & Schuster Children’s is publishing the School Gyrls book series and the first book (the movie novelization) is already in stores!
In this retelling of the movie, Mandy Rain, Jacque Nimble, and Monica Marriott (Mo Money to all her friends) are ready to begin their freshman year at Summer Grove Academy, a private high school for girls. Or so they think. No sooner do they step foot on the perfectly cut lawns of the tidy campus when the three of them land in trouble—and All-Day Detention! It turns out that the girls have never before faced anyone like tough hall monitor Daisy Johnson, Headmaster Jones and her twin girls—or head cheerleader Bambi Lockwood. How are they ever going to survive this prison-like nightmare where everything they do seems to get them into more trouble? By banding together and being their creative, resourceful selves! Friends! Romans! What’s poppin’, it’s been a minute! A chairman is a busy thing, lemme tell you. My calendar reminders are going off like popcorn kernels. But I wanted to drop in real quick and remind y’all that my girls (…or should I say my gyrls…) the School Gyrls, will be on TeenNick this Friday night at 9p et.
I’m proud of that movie… it’s one of my own special projects. So you’ll see me hangin’ with those ladies, probing their minds with my incisive questions during the breaks.
And uh… you’ve already been told Justin Bieber and Soulja Boy are up in that masterpiece, right? Well, you’ve been told now. So it’s your duty… your responsibility to yourSELF… to make sure your butt is on that couch Friday night. We straight? Good.
