December 3, 2008 — American Eagle Outfitters and Big Brothers Big Sisters have teamed up to film a public service announcement featuring producer, actor and comedian Nick Cannon to encourage participation in this year’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign.
Cannon filmed the Bowl for Kids’ Sake public service announcement last week at the American Eagle store in Hollywood. Nick was joined by several L.A. ‘Littles” who got a behind-the-scenes view of the shoot, as well as an AE shopping experience with Nick himself.
The public service announcement was designed to build awareness and provide customers with ways to get involved in the Bowl for Kids’ Sake campaign. The campaign is the largest fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters, which focuses on helping children to reach their potential through professional supported one-to-one relationships. Customers can view the Bowl for Kids’ Sake PSA this spring in AE stores across the United States and Canada.

"It warms my heart with great pleasure to honor the strongest person I know. Someone who has laid down her life for me time and time again. Someone whose love is so potent I feel it everyday from thousands of miles away. Most importantly, someone who was so incredibly selfless that she sacrificed everything she had to give me life and a great one
at that. My Mother."
— Nick Cannon,
Rapper, Comedian, Actor
“Being a pregnant teen is very difficult. I know, I was one. There are the emotions of fear, anxiety, embarrassment to name a few that come to you during this time. You need to look within yourself. It is important for you to be steadfast, strong and positive. It is also important to have the support of loved ones. Reading this book can provide the tools and positive advice to give you the strength and encouragement to get you through this trying time. After reading the book, pick it up from time to time. It will help to keep you on the right track. Just remember after the nine month period you will have a beautiful baby that you are responsible for and you have to set a positive example for this child. Be there for that child always. He or she needs you. It is so important for you to set personal positive goals such as higher education and a career for yourself so you and your child can have a happy and fruitful life.”
— Beth Hackett,
Mother of Rapper, Comedian, Actor Nick Cannon and
Former Pregnant Teen
