Cartoonist Aaron McGruder announced the return of his popular The Boondocks series last month, with a return date of May 2nd.
Until then, fans can get a taste of whats to come via McGruder’s newly launched official, unofficial website, BoondocksBootleg.com.
The site will feature never-before-seen video clips, screen shots, and other behind-the-scenes tid-bits on the upcoming season.
According to McGruder’s camp, he’ll be posting regularly on the website, leaking exclusive scenes and hints about upcoming plot lines from the highly anticipated upcoming third season.
So, if you can’t wait for the season to start, then the second best thing is to keep it locked at BoondocksBootleg.com.
The upcoming third season premieres on Sunday, May 2nd at 11:30 p.m. on Adult Swim.
Since the show’s debut in 2005, The Boondocks (based on the comic strip by the same name) has been one of Adult Swim’s most popular original series. In 2007, the envelope-pushing show was recognized with the prestigious Peabody Award for the episode McGruder wrote titled, “Return of the King,” which featured Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. awakening from a coma and reacting to contemporary phenomena from gangsta rap to the war on terror.
